As Chief Commercial Officer, you will lead the group’s overall commercial strategy. You’ll define and execute an integrated sales and marketing vision, make strategic choices across channels, countries and customer segments, and guide the commercial teams in their development. You will be responsible for key account management, sales operations, marketing, and pricing. Your focus will be on structuring commercial processes, strengthening data-driven steering, and building a more mature, integrated marketing function. You report directly to the CEO and act as a strategic sparring partner within the leadership team, driving growth, profitability, and customer orientation. The organization is looking for a pragmatic and visionary commercial leader – someone who spots opportunities, moves quickly, energizes teams, and brings strategic clarity.
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement the group-wide commercial strategy
• Structure commercial teams and processes focused on countries, channels, and segmentation
• Strengthen performance management around pricing, promotions, data and margins
• Build and elevate the marketing organization and commercial input into product development
• Lead and develop commercial teams (10+ FTE) in an international setting
• Expand partnerships with key European retailers and accounts
• Act as a sparring partner to the CEO and MT on strategic commercial topics
• Drive results, team development and customer focus across the organization
• 10+ years in a senior commercial leadership role
• Proven experience with major retailers (preferably both food and non-food)
• Strong background in key account management and marketing
• Experience with wholesale channels is a plus
• Familiar with working with KPIs and commercial dashboards
• International experience, ideally including Germany
• Skilled in commercial planning and implementation
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, with strong analytical and communication skills
• Fluent in Dutch and English – German is a plus
